Stanza gearbox swap options

Hi list, a friend of mine has a 1979 Stanza (NOT a SSS) with a stuffed automatic gearbox. I have a 4-speed manual Datsun 1600 / 510 box in good nick. Can we swap the auto with the 1600 manual box? Is it a straight bolt in or does the tailshaft or x-member need modifications?
