Gday Mark, Yeah its the same thing with the 4 cylinder L - the L16 has timing graduations on the pulley which relate to a pointer on LHS of the block, while the L18 has a pulley mark lining up with a plate on the RHS of the block. You're right - the timing light will tell you what-lines-up-with-what.
