Rob, Does your setup have a pressure sensor or an air flow meter? Mine has an AFM so is the Bosch L Jetronic system, whereas Luke Cloughs system which is also L18 EFI from the factory uses a MAP sensor, and so is the older Bosch D Jetronic. I got my manifold, ECU, AFM etc all together so i cant be certain what car it all came from, but from info from this list I figure it came from a S110 180SX, around 1980 or so?? Both the ECU and AFM have markings indicating they are for an L16 and L18.
Regarding you missing an ECU, the dimequarterly article on installing the L series factory EFI setup used bits and pieces from different donors and got it all to work great - they used a 1980 200sx ECU and AFM. I believe this car used a Z20 engine? (article at http://www.dimequarterly.tierranet.com/articles/tech_efi.html) The Bosch L Jetronic was used on all sorts of car makes, and Ive read it has been adapted to run all sorts of engines, presumably because of its basic operation. I got my system to work based on info for a rover, alfa GTV, vw and a porsche?! All had ECUs with similar pinouts etc. As such, maybe a computer used in another 4 cyl car with L jetronic would work? An option I was going to try when I wasn't sure if my ecu was going to work was the matching ecu and afm from the ca20 in pintaras. Of course the easiest is using a programable fuel only computer.
