Ok the plugs that i am using are NGK  - 6928 - BP4ES

they are off the shelf so not super hot, not special race plugs etc.
The problem with hillclimbing rich running cars is that they carbon up when
idling before a run.
then when you try to race they miss, on a street driven car you probably
wouldnt notice it.
plus for some reason my car starves when under load if its not run rich.
probably the needles in the su's are a bit wrong for the engine.

anybody got an opinion on the ptiing thing with just 1 plug ?

I think they are NGK or Bosch i cant remember (red & yellow box)......I just
took the box in from home & said 4 of these please.
They are a hotter plug than std as if i dont run my engine rich it wont run
properly so the plugs foul if their not a bit hot.
