Heath, the mixture adjustment on my carbs is a kind of knob that you turn. its underneath the carbs, you wind it up or down. no special tools needed for mine. unless you want to use a balancing tool to adjust them with, but you can get it close by ear. mine are the Hitachi ones........
Going to my mates (his name is Jeff as well:-)) tomorrow & he did his time on these kinds of cars so hopefully we will get it sorted out. he told me that the float chambers are too loose, so will fix that tomorrow as well.
