Thanks for the advice Terry
I have a stock U67 in my collection, and another
U67 with metal added to increase the CR. I also have 3 A87's,
unfortunately not the V912 variety.
I am trying to rationalise my head collection (down
from 6) and this information doesnt help me much, they all have their good
points!

Subject: RE: "210" Lseries Heads
Probably all that was available here if it was done way back in time -
A87 heads didn't arrive en mass in Aus until '73/4 ish and except for the SSS
they were all fairly puny port sized too. The 210 has small ports as you say
but had heaps of meat to port them out to 35mm or ever further, small
combustion chamber is ~36cc or there abouts - great for an avgas L engine in
the 70's, CR with the 1889cc block is up there ~11.1. Bit wasted on a
1889cc L18 - get an A87-V912 38mm head if you find one, even a U67 with a pair
of 45's would go great on that engine. It would detonate it's little head off
with pump fuel on a warmish day.
regards
Terry
Anyone who can tell me the good and bad points
about a 210 head? I have 2.
First is bog stock off a '67 1600. Faily small
inlet track.
Second is a ported head on an 89mm bore
L18. Trying to figure out why this particular head was used for
porting out.
