The guy I use has a device like a big dish washer with a high pressure pump and soapy water jets to blast from all directions as the support platform spins. The parts are not immersed and heads only have to be in for about an hour and they are squeaky clean. It messes up cam bearings in blocks though.

Nasty stuff. OTOH cast iron heads and blocks are 'hot tanked' in alkaline solutions which would actually dissolve an aluminium head given long enough.... > >I am cleaning up a suspect head, how do the head shops get them so >clean? When I have got heads back from them they have always been so >clean that any corrosion/cracks etc sticks out like crazy. --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
