Yeah, I have built one of these kits before, and (at least for a carby car) they arent much good. One of the major differences between the narrow band and the wide band sensors is the response curve - while you could kinda sorta figure out O2 readings over say 12-1 to 16-1, all the action happens at stoichiometric (sp?), so it might go from 0 volts to 0.1 over 12-1 to 14.6-1, then to a 0.8 volt jump from 14.6-14.8, then the remaining 0.1 volts for the rest of the range. They then become only really usefull for telling if you are richer than stoic or leaner, so good luck if you want to tune for power with the way a carby will wander over the place.
