terry, thanks mate but a got one, took all of 5 minutes to wire up & works
great, cuts off after a few short seconds if the engine isnt running or
cranking, ta jeff.
Give
it time - I must have a dozen of those in my parts collection. I had a number
of electric pumps just looking for a new home and never had a problem with
them.

Since I replaced the good fuel pump, with
the stuffed oil pissout valve as I call it.
My Engine bay has been clean ever
since.

Problem with the mechanical pump is that most of us like to
have a reasonably clean engine bay.

Well if you had a stock fuel pump
fitted.
It runs of the cam, don't need any
modifications :O)

CAMS is
bringing in a rule this year where all cars running a fuel pump have
to have a system where the fuel pump stops pumping fuel when the
engine is not running. I think the test will basicly be you
stick the car in first, let the clutch out with you foot on the brake
so that the engine stalls. The fuel must stop pumping within a
short time ie 30 seconds.
Anyone got
any ideas for a simple way to do this on a carburetted engine
?
(i think
most fuel injection systems have this built in ?)
