Anyone here built an L18 stroked? Is it worth doing compared to an L20B? I know that it will be about 50lbs lighter based on engine weights that have been posted a while ago here. That alone interests me.
It looks like around 1940cc is possible with a +.060 overbore and 5mm stroke. Would a Japan L18 block take this OK? Would the crank be welded up for this and reground. What piston specs are required. I'm not looking to save money going this way, BTW. The concept interests me as a replacement engine for an L16 for road use without going the L20B route, that's all. Looking at some old posts I see Brad Hallett was doing one. Denzil Palmer -- No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
