I thought 88mm was the safe maximum on the W block? That would give around 1,996cc with a 4mm stroke which seems feasible.
With an 89mm bore and a 83mm stroke (+5mm) that would give 2,066cc. What I question is why the LZ2.1/2.2 engine is more popular and not this way. Is the crank better and stronger than the L18 one? I would like to hear about anyone who has experience of this L18 setup and how successful it is. ---------- >From: "rclough" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: <[email protected]> >Subject: Re: L18 stroker - any good? >Date: Sat, 19 Mar 2005 7:54 PM > > Denzil > You can get an L18W block (japanese built) bored out to 89mm and get close > to 2 litres without stroking. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Denzil Palmer" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Thursday, March 31, 2005 8:26 PM > Subject: L18 stroker - any good? > > >> >> Anyone here built an L18 stroked?
