Personally, if it comes down to the SR20 and FJ20, I would take the FJ20
over it... but thats just me..

I dont know why but N/A seems to feel like the right way to go, but forced
induction is light weight horsepower.
It's easy to get caught up worrying about CAMS classes as well.
An N/A FJ20 or SR20 is supposed to be 150hp, which is pretty good for a
stock engine.
KA24's are torquey, but you go up another CAMS class.
oh well, i have quite a few months ahead to consider my option i guess :0)

My 1600 race engine had 92 Rear wheel kw's (approx 165 crank hp @ 7300
and 130 ft/lb torque @ 6000). Bare engine only (no carbs or dissy
flywheel or clutch), cost me $4200 to build in todays money with no
labour cost.

Around 170 crank hp is achievable.
A 2 litre will give better bang for your buck.

what sort of power output can be made from an L16 ?
anybody got any rough idea of cost v HP for them ?
I am forward thinking to next year once I have my suspension sorted out
weather I should think about an engine transplant or just spend money on
improving the engine that I already have.
