Hey Errol RE what Rick says on swapping in a sr16 vvt velo.
Why couldnt the SR16 couldnt be converted to rear wheel drive ? I thought they were basicly the same block as the SR20 ? The importer new it was a real performer but he couldnt find anyone in the area interested in a hipo 4 cyl - most of the car guys here still drive V8 dinosaurs, (Clubbies and Ticklers) only a handful have been encouraged to go for GTR's and Twin turbo Zeds. SR6 turbos are starting to change the mindset. He was asking $1650 for the SR16VVL and I was very tempted. It was an east west driver and I checked it out to see if it could be converted to N-S installation. Erroll advised not doable. So in answer to the question, I think you will find one if you search through the engine importers, question is how much are they asking? . ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeff" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, September 16, 2005 6:07 AM Subject: RE: Speaking of L16's > Rick, > > I thought that those things were hard to find here is Australia ? > I would really like one of those :) > Those Variable Valve Timing NEO's are little rippers if the engine spec are > correct. > probably very revvy by the looks of things. > > ________________________________________________________ > SR16VE - 173hp @ 7800rpm / 119lb torque @ 7200rpm > SR16VE N1 - 197hp @ 7800rpm / 134lb torque @ 7600rpm > SR20VE - 187hp @ 7000rpm / 145lb torque @ 6000rpm > SR20VET - 276hp @ 6400rpm / 228lb torque @ 3200rpm > _________________________________________________________ > > > cheers Jeff > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of rclough > Sent: Monday, 12 September 2005 4:04 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: Speaking of L16's > > > If you are allowed to swap engine types and dont get pushed up classes if > you stay at the same engine capacity, why not use an SR16VVL?
