A freind of mine wife is a head nurse at our main hospatil ,,, She has seen
many injury's caused by air bags...
Just like Japanese roll out seat belts,,,I know one guy that had 170 stichs
in his face when someone pulled out on him and his Toyota seat belt didnt
work, he face planted the windowscreen..In a Toyota Hiace van..
Some saftey laws are pure rubbish..
Take bicycle helemts...Thats a Joke,,, over 70% of cycle injurys are to the
chest and back(upper body) , Not ya head..(thats also from the USA )
Now hears anther fact ,,,They say dont drink and drive,,sounds like it makes
sence A.. But 80% of car crashs are caused by sober drivers..
Work that out.....
NZ, Auckland 2005 has a high court ruling now on cycle helmets......If you
say carnt buy one to fit ya head then thats fine you dont need to wear one..
A case was thrown out about 3 months ago, the judge laughed...
I cycle helmet you pay $45 bucks for costs $3 in China...ex the
factory...same with the likes of a Bell branded one,, same factory but a
extra $50 for the name..or sticker..
Did you know the NZ/AUS saftey sicker in a bicycle helmet cost $25....yes
just for the sticker,,,Thats why know one has them anymore and we just sell
German/EURO saftey STD helmets..

Its called a death spear because its a solid bar pointed at your
stomach/chest area. If you have a head on crash you can be impaled
by the non collapsable column can be driven towards you as the
front crumples. Also the reason we now have air bags in the
steering wheel.

Yes the uni on the 610 / H510 coupe are a funny size and very
had to buy here in NZ,,as our cars didnt have this type.
People call the soild a death spear...why? it is angled.\

G’day all
I am strengthening my old group G P510 shell and I am
going to get all the fabrication done whilst on the
rotisserie, for ease of planning and fitting. The steering
column I have always used is a spear type, connected into
the steering box. I plan to fit an inline steering
quickener in the column and hence wouldn’t mind a
collapsible with couplings to the steering box.
Has anyone had any experience in sourcing a collapsible
column that has coupling connections to the steering box?
