I put up a nearly featureless community site two days ago called
RubyDeveloper.Info after seeing this thread. Now I know that the
initial request was for a Merb centric site, but I agree with Michael
in that a more generic Ruby one is more appropriate, especially given
Merb's desire to be part of the Ruby ecosystem and not some segmented
subset of it.

http://RubyDeveloper.Info

Anyway, the site uses Merb and though virtually featureless right now,
I'd prefer to open source it and let the community build whatever
features it wants for itself.

http://github.com/foysavas/rubydeveloperinfo (will be up soon, must
clean specs first)

Finally, please when I do put up the source, be courtesy of what's out
there and don't 1) reinvent the wheel with features in other
communities, or 2) step on the toes of other sites. To be honest, I
was hesitant about the whole community site when it first came up, if
for no other reason, because there are so many others out there.
Ultimately though, I recognized that there is a need for programmers
to accurately display public profiles that can legitimize them as
knowledgeable Ruby app developers, so I went through with it. Emphasis
on accurate profiles in mind, the site is invite only and displays who
has invited who.

But yeah, don't feel left out: if you'd like an invite, feel free to
email me (or anyone else on the site you may know), and I'll set you
up with an invitation code.

Best,
Foy
