OK, so I got this 84 300SD I picked up for $100 to part out. Paint is
screwed, seats are screwed, engine is bad. Was going to part it out but
got to looking at there is NO rust, no dents etc. I have a good turbo
engine in a 116 and was trying to think of all the differences between
those and the 126's. So far I can think of things that would have to be
swapped: linkage, motor mount arms, oil filter canister, air cleaner
maybe. What else am I missing? Is the exhaust hookup the same? Any
other electrical differences as far as glow plugs go? What about the
vacuum pump? Does one from the 126 bolt right up to the 116 style
engine or will I have to make the 116 vacuum pump work in the 126?
