ALL YES.

Not exactly but not a huge PITA.

Ayup, you will have to swap in the entire 116 system as it's completely
different, even the plugs and connectors are different and the relay is
completely different (possibly not if the 116 is MY 1980, tho).

Also the 116 has the cable-operated warmup idle adjustment, where the 126
did not.

Big difference, the wrench who did mine had to fabricate plumbing, you will
have to use the 116 one I would think.

The biggest difference of all is the oil pan. Going in reverse to your swap,
the 116 pan touches the 126 crossmember just enough to make a constant thump
over large bumps. You will need to measure carefully to make sure there are
not other issues, going the opposite way.

Also the oil cooler lines are differerent, depending on which oil filter
housing you use.
