Yuck... A. Big hole. With a hole saw (rather than careful cutting) I suspect I'd have to come out with a 3" diameter hole at least, maybe 4".
B. I'd have to have a slippery static creating bedliner... My plan, once the repair is complete is to have the thing Rhinolined. I did Herculiner on my Dakota which I was reasonably happy with. Its nice to be able to throw something in the back and have have it mostly stay put. Of course when hauling a snowmobile it is slightly more difficult to get the thing out... Everything comes with a cost. -Curt Date: Wed, 18 Feb 2009 15:15:55 -0600 From: "R A Bennell" <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [MBZ] OT: Welding on the Ranger To: "Mercedes Discussion List" <[email protected]> Message-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Use a hole saw to make a nice neat drain hole where the bad spot is. Paint the edges to avoid further rust. Install a nice plastic bed liner over the top. Randy -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
