I picked up a 440 Gb Toshiba external USB hard drive at Sam's Club [on the sale shelf] for $36. It is the size of two decks of cards side by side. I will use it as a backup for my desktop and as an extended memory device on my new Sony UX380N handheld, though it already has a 40 Gb internal drive. I can't believe the low prices on storage these days. I'm flying Jacksonville to Anchorage AK this weekend for the birth of grandchild #6, and plan to stick several movies on it for the trip. I'm going through Seattle twice, but the hours really suck for trying to meet any of the Seattle folks. I also have a bay mount zip drive and about 20 zip disks, but they just gather dust these days.
