Hi Wilton - this might not apply so some of the far more tech savvy folks can help here. I have tried a couple of times to use devices that were not meant for USB with a USB adaptor and it never worked. Might be there is some transfer rate problem. I have no idea, but with the price of storage now I'd sure go with new. BillR
