Not in their stock configuration, unless the air filter is plugged. Anything made since about 1998 is going to make slightly less smoke than a well tuned 617. Lots of guys buy them, put a 3.5 or 4" straight pipe on them, and chip the computer. Result: Sounds like a semi tractor, and smokes like one too.
