That's different than the 2 belt arrangement on the Volvo. They actually ran
2 belts to the cam.

The 2.0 Mazda used in the Escort & Tempo in the 1980s (I think it's very
similar to the engine in the Ranger) had two timing belts.
At the front of the engine, there was a 2:1 reduction belt drive from the
crank to the cam. At the rear of the engine a 1:1 belt drive from the cam to
the IP.
