Is there an orifice tube at the condenser? I think the blockage there or at the receiver/dryer would explain the lack of refrigerant flow visible at the sight glass.
I guess I'm going to have to open it up and flush the evaporator and condenser and then see if it will hold a vacuum. -Max -----Original Message----- From: mercedes-boun...@okiebenz.com [mailto:mercedes-boun...@okiebenz.com] On Behalf Of Jim Cathey Sent: Thursday, February 24, 2011 8:25 PM To: Mercedes Discussion List Subject: Re: [MBZ] (SPAM?) 124 AC woe > Now I have proper gauge > reading on high side but still vacuum on suction side, when it should > be about > 15 to 20 psi...so I've got a blockage somewhere. If you did have a blockage, and anything like a normal charge in there, you would have excessive high-side pressures to go with excessively-low low-side pressures. -- Jim _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
