Yep...  I am ashamed to say that my beloved '87 300D has been sitting,
largely undriven, for about a year and half, thanks to frustrating
on-again-off-again issues with the transmission vacuum control.  But
very time I need to move it around I put a battery in and it starts
almost immediately.  Can't say the same for the gas-powered project
cars!

The last time I started it there was a big mouse nest in the battery
tray, though.  I'm a little worried that they got into the dashboard
via one of the firewall grommets and nibbled on some wiring.  The last
thing I want to deal with (probably the last thing anyone wants to
deal with!) is intermittent electrical problems.
