Here here! Right on Randy!

We can save lots of power using andrew's logic by turning off the juice in DC and surrounding areas, except from noon to 1 PM daily.

it or not.

Similarly, the cumulative savings in energy efficiency from a national
perspective are worth the cost and inconvenience - as determined by your/our
democratically elected representatives - of phasing out incandescent bulbs
for more efficient lighting.

Now come on Andrew - why not just mandate that all lights have to be turned off by 9 PM if all you want to do is save electrical power?

Or we could ban bulbs bigger than 40 watts?

Or how about we turn off all of the power after 9PM? We could freeze in the dark but think of the power saved!

I don't buy into the nonsense about CFL bulbs.

Some goofball persuaded the government that it was a good idea to promote them but it makes no sense to me at all.
