OK fair enough, you may replace 'assault rifle' with...
"Assault rifle" _is_ an industry-recognized term, and with rare exceptions in the USA _nobody_ can have one. The banners coined the term "assault weapon" to apply to anything sufficiently 'scary' by their lights, and started using it heavily hoping that nobody would know the difference. (And easy enough to change the definition behind the scenes, to encompass more and more.) Either term is probably passe, in their lights. I expect them to start using "machine gun" (because they are _all_ machines, or at least machined), or, more likely, "murder tubes."
