It's done, more or less. (OK, _nothing_ is ever
actually _done_, but it's done enough to use.)

There are pictures of it completed, as of today.

Rusty came through with my replacement driveshaft (came in a ginormous box, the
driveshaft is like 3"x3"x24" right? The box was 5"x24"x40"ish!) so today I can
get my 190D back. At least the repair bill was less than the cost of the car.
I'd told my Indy to make it perfect.
Except for a few things that I told him not to mess with. The first one I'm
going to undertake is the antenna. Anybody got a link for antenna repair? I
half attempted inspecting prior to a repair on the 240D but stopped when I
realized I was playing with the sunroof motor...

Not at all surprising considering the that you're trying to start a
~3800 lb car moving using a 177 hp engine with maximum torque occurring
at quite high rpm (4400?).

Very similar to the 280SE (116 with M110 engine) I owned. Really
ponderous and sluggish in town. Very nice on the highway though.

The table below lists standing and start gears for your car (3 liter
M103 engine) idles and starts in 2nd, but should drop into 1st if the
accelerator is depressed more than 40% (is that true of all of the M103
3 liter engined cars made after 1986 that you guys have driven?)
