College seems like a big racket these days to me. I know lots of
folks paying off student loans all their life that don't really make
that much money.

You are right. you pay to be brainwashed and become a good little
liberal/socialist/marxist borg. then you you follow the collective,
you stay an indentured servant for life.
OR: You can send them to hillsdale college. They allow thinking and
teach the constitution there. Very sub versiv e! Counter culture!
In my day, there was still some open discussion and free thought allowed.
