I managed to shame the Sears guy into replacing one of my (very nice) ignition wrenches that I broke. He said they didn't have one, but I pointed out a set which included the same wrench. He said he couldn't break up a set, but I pointed out that the broken wrench broke up MY set. I was prepared to continue in that vein long enough to cost them more in lost sales than honoring their guarantee would.
This was a while back, and I no longer think of Craftsman tools as pretty decent for the money; so seldom shop there.
