CCF, the Coleman Collectors Forum?
5spd makes a 601 nice, not half as much fun with a 4spd auto.

Probably.  I have never seen a 5 speed MB.  A few are reported to exist
in the land of unicorns.  If it bolts up to a OM602, it should bolt up
to a OM603.  Probably Won't bolt up to a OM616.  If you have the whole
donor car, there may be enough parts there to make it work.  Maybe even
enough to make it work on a 123.

However, if you have enough money to trow at a problem, the problem can
go away one way or another.  I don't have that kind of  money.  See the CCF.
