A rule of thumb is to divide the engine HP by 1.5 to get the generator kW. At 1800 RPM you would be good for about 9kW based on the 14 bhp rating on the spec sheet I looked at.
Looks like a 10kW Marathon “MagnaPlus” would do the trick: http://www.marathonelectric.com/MGPS/details.jsp?item=281CSL1513&voltage=240/120//120&hertz=60&phase=Dedicated%201&brand=MagnaPlus&type=Standard However, I’m sure you can find an imported generator of similar size for less. As long as the alternator is set up with the same SAE flywheel adapter and drive disk it will work. -D > On Sep 9, 2017, at 9:34 PM, Craig via Mercedes <[email protected]> wrote: > > On Sat, 9 Sep 2017 21:21:42 -0400 Dan--- via Mercedes > <[email protected]> wrote: > >> Nice power unit.
