In fact, thinking about it, there's no need to seal off the intake/exhaust manifold, either. You'll still want to have your double check valve setup, though. (Not pulling a vacuum on an empty cylinder will make it run better.) If you do mess with the valves, you'll get compression every revolution rather than every other revolution. Craig
