I find that my SL600 likes draining the battery, I’m not sure what is
drawing off electrons as there is not much in there to do that

Hauled the 4+ year old flooded cell H8 down to the Advanced Auto and was
pleased to see the last of the long-timers still there. I waited for him so
he could check the battery, and it was kaput.
I put a two year battery in it as I’m planning on selling the car soon.
He was trying to find me something cheaper but I told him not to bother, as
I didn’t want to have to run around to another store, but would just go
with the cheapest one they had (the two year “silver”).
For those of you who might frequent Advance for batteries, it’s been
near impossible to get a promo code that will work on a battery any more. I
bemoaned the fact to this guy and he was able to put in a $17 discount on
the sale from some obscure code. Nice.
What’s interesting is that I was having all sorts of weird faults, no
doubt due to the voltage dropping into the basement when stuff got turned
on. I ran the DAS on it when I got everything finished and cleared all the
faults, so all is well now.
