I have a pair of DCM Time Frames on the 70” TV in the family room. Thanks to MI Mitch for pointing them out to me on eBay or CL (I can’t recall which one) so I could snag them.
A Denon AV receiver drives them and handles all the switching between the TV, Apple TV, BluRay and OTA inputs. Can’t recall the brand of subwoofer that’s used, suffice to say it does the job. We had a Bose surround sound system in a former house. I have a bi-amped (through a Richter Scale crossover) subwoofer to handle the lowest octave. It dates from the early eighties, and is rarely turned on. As is the stereo, these days. Our main listening, now, is through the AppleTV and the Panny plasma TV. I tapped into its speaker drivers years ago, and have a pair of Radio Shack Minimus 7 speakers hooked to it. Those are, and always were, surprisingly decent for their size, availability, and price. Sidetrack: most covers of classic songs suck.
