Does the air only ever come out the defrost vents (windshield or wind screen)? If so I would first check your vacuum lines and make sure they are correct under the hood. The vents are controlled using vacuum, thus most common problem is the black plastic Tee on driver's fender cracks and the climate control goes to defrost all the time.
