And, shark bite fittings tend to be expensive. I think I would use PEX fittings and the crimp rings. You will need the crimp tool as well as the cutter for removing rings when you mess up or decide to change something.

I have not used them for air but I probably should install a line in my garage too.

I have used PEX for changes to the water lines at my house and the cottage with no issues so far.
