The preponderance of lezbarus is because the women folk who likes other
womyn folks drive that sort of car. Or the men who are weak of staff
find them nice as well. The Volvo is the liberals safety vegan ride of
choice. Saab is just too ... rich for their blood, even though there
is a ... was a large Scandehoovian population. Saabs are found near
Redmond, the evil capitol of all suckitude. Microserfs like the Saab,
as well as volvo.

We flew out to the Seattle area for an interview, and the most
important
analysis I did was observing what type of cars were there. This is my
barometer of the type of people in an area.
As a quick aside: Ever notice how women look at houses and men look at
cars?
You can be telling your wife about something that happened in the
neighborhood, and she'll say, Oh, that yellow house with the tan
shudders?
And I'll say Umm, I dunno, but it has an Audi in the driveway.
It was to the point of being funny - how many Subaru station wagons
were out
there on the Island (some new, but mostly older). Tied for second most
populous: the Volvo station wagon (again, mostly older, but a ton of
new
too).
I saw a whole lot of the Mercedes star of course too - mostly newer
stuff.
The occasional 123 would klatta by - way, way more than we see here in
Rochester, MN (we own one of 3 or 4 in town).
Interesting was the lack of Classic Saabs. I thought that in that sort
of
Liberal, earthy stronghold, they would abound. Guess they are all in
Santa
Fe. For some reason, in the Fairmont area, I spotted more of them.
The presence of full-sized 4 x 4 pickups was thankfully low - When one
would
rumble by it was clear that they were driven by guys who were working
on
construction projects in the area. There were, however, a good deal of
the
ubiquitous newer 4 x 4 (mostly diesel) pickups driven by the more
successful.
Synopsis: I like the area (your efforts have failed, Zeitgeist) and we
will
probably move there. Goodbye, long frigid winters, hello long, cool,
grey,
wet winters. I couldn't be happier with the exchange.
