My '79 300SD quick shifts through 2nd unless I have it floored or let it start in 2nd. (like Chuck's old car, the circuitry that tells it to sit in 2nd at a stop and drop to first when I touch the throttle is busted, so I have to use L if I want first, but then when I move to S or D, it skips right past 2nd).
