The manual 201.029 (190E 2.6 manual, US version) had a 3.27 rear (at
least in the late '80s - I don't have data on '90s 201s). Other 201s
with manual 5 speed transmissions had 3.07, 3.23 and 3.42 rears. All of
these cars (unlike the 190E-16V with 1.00:1 5ths) had 5th gear ratios
of
between 0.84:1 and 0.78:1.
I'm guessing that 3.42 ratio was either in the 2.2 diesel or 2.3 gasser.
