Hi Mitul,

1) What IE version are you using?

2) Are you using windows 7? If yes, then right click on QTP icon and run as
Administrator. Open IE also the same way ie run as Administrator and then
check if it works.

3) Are you using IE 64-bit or 32-bit? Try to see if you get the same error
with IE 32 but also.

4) If none of the above methods work, try out this method. go to automation
-> record and run settings, then from Web tab select Open the following
address radio button and type the url you want to open there. then see if
you are able to record anything there.

5) Download QTPWEB_00078 if you are using IE 9. Download QTPWEB_00086 if
you are using 64bit IE.
