ok - I see.
With Xorg 7.2 xdamage 1.0.4 and server 1.2.0 was released. As I'm using some
unsupported packages from my distribution (openSUSE), which still include
server 1.2.0 but xdamage 1.1.0, there is a problem - my problem.
I'm going to close this bug. Sorry for the trouble.
