Is it a complete software renderer you're working on?
I'm not following Mesa development closely; last time
I asked there was no real software-only renderer in Mesa.
(Everyone keeps saying that Mesa is a software renderer
but last time it depended too much on hardware.)

Keep it coming if it is a true software renderer.

After all waiting (years!), I have started to update my old
software renderer with latest stuff because I want test latest
rendering techniques now than later. Also, hardware gets old
earlier than I can afford to buy new hardware. Software renderer
would be a good solution for testing in my case.

What is this cell infrastructure? And what are these generated
quads you mention? What is the tile-oriented approach that was
planned? Is that diffrerent from cells and quad generation?
