Here's a script of a combobox that sets the textColor of a selected text in
a field:

local selChunk

on mouseEnter
  put the selectedChunk of fld 1 into selChunk
end mouseEnter

on menuPick x
  set the textColor of selChunk to x
end menuPick

It should work in a palette also.
