I missed this before because it isn't available in the regular version
of the player, only if you have the Pro version. The only QT call I
know of that deals with anything similar to that is
VideoMediaGetStatistics(). But the QT doc on this function says only
to use it for debugging and includes this little gem:
Note: Because not all QuickTime movies have a constant frame rate, the
results of this call can be difficult to interpret correctly. For this
reason, the results of this function should not be displayed in a
place where a novice user is likely to see it.
I guess the next question to ask, is "Why do you think you need show
or accept frame information?"
