Hi,
Using Netscape 4.7 on a Suse Linux 6.3, each xxx.gz downloaded file
incomes to my hard drive as unziped file. To use it, i have just to
change its name and permissions and it's what i did, after asking Scott
Raney, to get and run the new mc 2.3.
Try the same way. It probably will run fine.
