I have a client running on Windows 98 machines where the fonts in a
stack are not displaying right. The only font used in the stack (which
was developed on a Mac) is Times, which I guess gets translated to Times
Roman on Windows. On his Windows machines, text is much larger, which
causes line wrapping and some text to disappear below the bottom of the
visible area of the fields. Button labels are wrong, with text
disappearing off the edges of the buttons. Field margins are very
narrow, with text butted up against the very left-hand edge even though
the margins are set to 8.
I have had him check to make sure that Times is installed on the Windows
machines, and that "large fonts" is not turned on -- it isn't. What else
could cause this? It doesn't happen on my Windows 98 machine.
