There is a font substitution table in the Windows Registry (on NT
anyway) which I guess controls this.
hkey_local_machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\FontSubstitutes
I don't know the Win 98 equivalent, but a search for "Helvetica" in
regedit will probably find it. It might be worth confirming that the
substitution table makes sense.
