I had the same trouble

Here is haw I fixed it

@DRILL1
#EVAL (#ZCHK=#ZCHK+.1)
<#ABSI ><#RTNLVL ><#FXD ><X#XPOS ><Y#YPOS >< Z#ZDPTH R#ZCHK>< F#FEED >

I still setup all tools to have a clearance of Z.1 and it is then anjusted
in the *.tmp
file.

I only add to the tap in the *tmp to give the taping head enought room to
clear the top of the part.
