Bob, I did that. I did forget that I am running Aturn v11.5, though, and
the t-inch.def is kind of hard to read, but I found the spot drill section.
Now, my next question is, where do I go to make it default to RPM not to
feed/min. I did notice on other sections that thre is a spmode=1 or 2, but
not in the drilling sections. I tried to add one, but nothing changed. I
restarted smartcam, and still nothing.

  the spot drill section

tool = -2010201
[
    ccw = "0"
    descrip = ""
    graphics = ""
    n_flutes = "2"
    section = "2010201"
    tipangl = "90"
    tl_dia = "0.5"
    tl_len = "2*JOS(tl_dia)"
    tl_mat = "0"
    user_desc = ""
    user_name = ""
]

Thanks for all your help. Rick

look in /josdef/m_inch.def. you can also edit a custom version and point to
it from the app ini file.

my ffm.ini section:
[Inch]
JosDefaults=..\shared\custom\V10.DEF
AutoId=..\shared\custom\v10ID.FMT
AutoDescription=..\shared\custom\v10DSC.FMT

Subject: [mfg-smartcam] Planner defaults

Hi all,
  I remember somewhere in the past, someone told how to change the defaults
in the job planner. I am sure it was a different version, but I have
forgotten, anyway. I would like for the speed mode to be RPM not feet/min.
  Where do I change this?

Thank you,
