You are correct. However, even if you do have "Line Offset Match" checked, a lead-in produced using "Reference Point" will have no offset.

I believe Lead In/Out will create the lines without offset regardless of whether you use Ref. Point or not. Just be sure Line Offset Match is not checked.

I think what you need to do is add a non-cutter comp lead-in. Add the lead-in from the plunge location to the start of the profile. If you use "Reference Point" to add the lead-in, it will automatically be produced with no cutter comp.

I need to program a slot that is 1.67 long and .75 wide using a 1/2 dia. endmill. I would to plunge at one end of the slot and in the center then go around the slot. When I use the cutter comp., it looks like the tool is being offset and starting off center.
